Think and Grow Old

Napoleon Hill wants us to ‘Think and Grow Rich’. But once you have grown rich please stop thinking. Else be prepared to feel that you are getting old. Too much thinking is bad as it reduces youthfulness in action. It’s better to stop thinking when repetitive thoughts begin to cloud your imagination.

People who worry about future start showing symptoms of ageing. These include hair fall, obesity, grumpiness, dullness and lack of enthusiasm to pursue new things. People who are optimistic about future behave quite opposite to those mentioned above. They have openness of thought, tendency to enjoy present moment and they display very little negativity in thoughts and words. These are people who spread hope. These are ‘young’ people. Young at heart and not necessarily by measure of their age. They are forward looking with self confidence and trust.

Given a choice do choose to give up thinking which comes in the form of worrying. Think about possible surprises not possible obstacles. Think about what you can and not what you will not, may not or might not do! Think to grow young but never force your mind to think of old orthodox weak impossibilities.
