Pantheon 2016

The E-Cell of IMT Nagpur successfully conducted its annual entrepreneurship summit Pantheon for 2016 on 16th and 17th of January. On 16th a b-plan competition called Aarambh was organised for budding entrepreneurs across the country to showcase innovative business ideas. The event saw entries from top business and technology schools of India like ISB, IIMs and IITs. The jury for evaluating entries in the final round of this competition comprised of VCs like Mr. Anil Joshi of Unicorn Ventures, Mr. Nalin Mittal of Jugnoo, Mr. Mainak Bhattacharya of CIIE IIM-A and Prof. R Deshmukh of VNIT Nagpur. The participants got indepth feedback about scalability and marketability of their b-plans from these experts. First prize of Rs. 50,000 was won by a team from KJ Somaiya Institute of Management & Research and the second prize of Rs. 30,000 was won by a team from IIT Kharagpur.

On Day 2 i.e. 17th January, students of IMTN witnessed The Entrepreneurship Conclave with an unique theme ‘Phygital – A New Wave of Hyperlocal Services’. The discussion panel comprised of Mr. Nishant Vohra of Grab.in, a successful hyperlocal backend service provider to India’s finest e-commerce players like Snapdeal and Flipkart. Other members of the panel were Mr. Nalin Mittal, Dr. R Deshmukh and Mr. S Neel from a local startup named FoodByMood. The panelists, moderated by Mr.Mainak, shared their views on various challenges and opportunities faced by Indian graduates who aspire to be young new age entrepreneurs. IMTN students showed enthusiastic support by asking diverse questions in the Q&A round. The event ended with an amazing informal social interaction of students with the entrepreneurs over tea. 

Kushagra – The E-Cell thus was successful in giving yet another memorable and eventful year to the aspiring minds of IMT Nagpur.
