Little Things That Matter

“Life is what happens to you, when you are busy making other plans”
                                                                           – John Lennon, Beatles.

A quiet word, a look, a smile,
A listening ear that’s quick to share
Another’s thoughts, another’s care
Though sometimes they may seem quite small,
These little things mean most of all.                               – Margaret Lindsey

Small little things make significant difference to the world within us. This is a world that we have created by assigning meaning to people and situations around us.

If you practice these little things, your day will be made, forever!
Reciprocate smiles of others
Share your joys with others
Read about new ideas/stories and write something of your own
Take-up a hobby – gardening in balcony is also not a bad idea
Talk about facts and avoid gossiping about people
Help someone in need – monetary/otherwise
Recognize efforts of laborers – maid servants/peons/watchman/driver
Exercise/Work-out with passion for a healthy body and stress-free mind
Travel a lot – appreciate/wonder about nature
Make new friends and keep in touch with old ones
Surprise your parents/elders with little gifts
Dance, Sing, Swim, Run and Laugh aloud …sometimes just like that…you will find the reason soon.

Now that we have the chance,

We can make each day a new.

Share our hearts with those around,

Help them remember us with love to.

For the life we live here today,

Reflects on what tomorrow will be.

If we live our lives with no regrets,

Then we’ll be remembered with love you see.
