To help is to heal. To help is to feel the pain and joy of others.
When we help we heal. We have our own suffering. Our sorrows, resulting from separation, loss or unfortunate natural calamities, come to pass. When we help we see how beautiful it feels to look at this world yet again through the eyes of someone filled with gratification. It’s a feeling of completeness. It’s a feeling of gain and not of loss.
When we hurt we inflict pain upon ourselves. To hurst is to contract. We reduce the joy of belonging to someone. It leaves behind a bad taste, a bad memory to live with. When we hurt we try justifying correctness of our choices, our decisions and our actions. We narrow the scope of learning. We keep moving in circles.
Help ever. Hurt Never. Be ready to swallow your ego. At times be prepared to sacrifice your self esteem. Letting things go is not easy especially when others have willingly tried hurting you. But if you master the art of mindfulness and thought control, you gain all the power necessary to live with compassion.
Love is wise. Hatred is foolish.
