Dainik Jargon

Here are some ‘words’ and ‘jargon’ that managers and MBAs are fond of using… it makes them feel words-worth

Actually – Actually, I was ill…(but factually I was OK….)

You Know – Fed up of this one…It is better to use UNO instead….or even ENO….

I mean – You are right because you are not just mean …also median and mode….

Obviously – this is often ‘yaar’ flavored…Obviously Yaar….terrific attyachaar on language …

Concept – Plato, Socrates and Aristotle… all have missed the chance to witness increasing importance attached to this word…

Value – I like to think of Aloo…instead of value…sometimes comes with ‘addition’ making it value-addition…pav bhaji …aloo-edition…

Fundas – Get your fundas right…derived from fundamental…but excessive use is resulting in funda and mental…

Innovation – after some globalization, liberalization…now it’s innovation…this is often loosely used… form changing format of writing agenda of the meeting to fixing an outdoor party spot…

Deliverable – I think it was easy to relate with the most difficult of all ‘deliverable’ once upon a time…but no more….

Customization – used for any type of personalization, selfishization rationalization etc.. etc…

Ecosystem – This was good until it was confined to ‘nature’…but egosystem made it popular …

Leverage – The age of when two popular levers co-exist… Jhony Lever and Hindustan Uni Lever

Performance – used anywhere loosely..sometimes for subordinate’s ability to catch cab/train on time…

And At the end of the day – to me, this one sounds like an Hollywood movie title…

Our English is okay Man. But our Vinglish is not ok No…I mean you see actually that’s what I am saying yaar….

U.K…soochne wali baat to yeh hai…ki Englishmen left a terrific legacy….
